The Valley of Boaz plays a significant role in the Bible, specifically in the book of Ruth.

Ruth is an excellent example of devotion. Ruth was the daughter in law of Naomi, who came to Moab with her husband to escape a famine. After Naomi’s husband passed, she urged daughters in law to stay in the land of Moab, but devoted Ruth would not have it. She stayed with Naomi and traveled to Bethlehem, where a barley harvest has just begun. Ruth would glean grains from the land of a rich man named Boaz. Boaz respected Ruth because he had heard tales of her loyalty. The two eventually married and Ruth became an ancestor of Jesus Christ.

The Field of Boaz receives many visitors and is one of the destinations on our Holy Land tours. Come see to where the history happened; don’t just read your Bible, SEE it!
