Travel Temperatures Israel Jerusalem Dead Sea Holy Land
Planning your trip to Israel begins with the weather at the time of year you are traveling. One of the first questions we hear from our passengers is about suitable clothing to pack for their trip. We have created a packing plan of action for our passengers. We suggest only bringing one carry and one suitcase. There are times during the trip, you will be moving your luggage to the motorcoach. Try to pack light. If you are traveling with a companion, pack some of your traveling companions clothes in your bag, and vice versa.
Both of you will then have a change of clothes if one bag is lost. Pack toiletries and a change of clothes in your carry-on bag.
Weather changes during the day in Israel, so we suggest dressing in layers. You can bring turtlenecks, scarves, and light jackets to layer. Bring larger jackets based on the time of year you are traveling. For most of the year, the temperature is comfortable but you will notice winter months can get down in the 30’s in the evening. Summers are much warmer and jackets are not necessarily needed. Always check the weather about a week before you leave to make sure the weather is not changing or unpredictable.
Other tips for packing for traveling in Israel. Our tours visit the Dead Sea and we suggest you bring a change of clothes to swim in the Dead Sea weather permitting. Water shoes or footwear is recommending for getting into the water.
