Tour Patmos Greece Walk With Apostle John

Patmos Greece Book of Revelation Bible

Bring the book of Revelation to color
The Island of Patmos

Patmos is a small  Greek island in the Aegean Sea.  Our tours travel to Patmos during our Footsteps of Paul and Aegean Cruise. This package is includes 8 days in Greece traveling the Bible with Apostle Paul and 5 days cruising the Aegean Sea. On the cruise, we stop for a land excursion on the Island of Patmos to tour St. John’s Monastery and Grotto of the Apocalypse.

Patmos is a popular destination in the Christian Pilgrimage due to its reference in the Book of Revelation. The Island of Patmos is one of the only place specifically mentioned in the Bible by the Apostle John.  The Bible states that Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation in a mountainside Grotto.

We visit the Monastery of St-John that was built over 900 years ago. As you walk uphill towards the entrance of the Monastery, you can see the exceptional architecture. Next, see the ecclesiastical treasures housed in the small museum: books and manuscripts, mosaics, icons, splendid medieval textiles and vestments as well as jewelry.

Our next stop is the Grotto of the Apocalypse, it is a sub-unit of the main Monastery. Walk down the steps to visit the Grotto, to view the ledge that Apostle John used as a desk when he wrote the Book of Revelation.
