Mount of Beatitudes

The Mount of Beatitudes is the traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus began with the Beatitudes , meanings “Blessings’.  It is also believed to the be spot where He made His choice of the 12 disciples (Luke 6:12-16).  All of our tours to Israel will visit this sacred place and learn from our Christian guides the importance of the Mount of Beatitudes to Christians.  You will have time to pray and reflect

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him,  and he began to teach them.    ~  Matthew 5:1-2

The blessing scriptural references. 
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. 
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. 
Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. 
Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kind of evil against you falsely for My sake.
