Maranatha Tours Hiking Masada Snake Path In Israel

 

All of our tours to Israel will visit Masada and have the opportunity to take the cable car up to the top of Masada or hike the Snake Path.  The cable car will take you to the top of Masada to view the magnificent ruins of the fortress built by King Herod.  Passengers who would rather hike up to the top, have the option to follow the Snake Path trail.  The Snake Path is one of the most iconic trails in Israel.  You will start at the base of Masada and wind up a snake shape path approximately 400 meters from the Dead Sea, which is the lowest place on Earth.   The Snake Path takes about hour to ninety minutes to climb, and thirty to forty minutes to descend. During the summer heat our guides may not allow groups to hike due to the excessive heat.  It is recommended this hike is done early in the morning so you can view the sunrise.
