Kalambaka Meteora Greece – A Trip to Greece would not be complete without a night  in Kalambaka and a visit to Meteora.  Meteora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose name was derived from a Greek contraction meaning “suspended in the air.” The sandstone megaliths on which the monasteries were built average 1,000 feet  in height, with several reaching 1,800 feet.

The Colosseum also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre is an oval amphitheater in the Center of the city of Rome, Italy. Built of travertine limestone, tuff (volcanic rock), and brick-faced concrete, it was the largest amphitheater ever built at the time and held 50,000 to 80,000 spectators. The Colosseum is just east of the Roman Forum.

The Roman Forum is a rectangular plaza surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings at the center of the city of Rome. Citizens of the ancient city referred to this space, originally a marketplace, as the Forum Magnum, or simply the Forum. For centuries the Forum was the center of day-to-day life in Rome: the site of triumphal processions and elections; the venue for public speeches, criminal trials, and gladiatorial matches; and the nucleus of commercial affairs. Located in the small valley between the Palatine and Capitoline Hills.
